Happy Valentine's Day!

On this day last year, two pink lines were the center of my attention. Two pink lines that have since turned into something pretty adorable albeit time consuming that makes my heart melt and my brain explode all in one day's work. Something that does cute things kind of like this:

This year I was bestowed a different kind of gift altogether by my permanent Valentine, my husband. Not only did he feed my Hello Kitty obsession with a tote bag and red piano shaped musical jewelry box, he also gave me a Japanese pocket dictionary with frequently used phrases and a Nicholas Sparks novel. And last, but not least, he took me shopping for this because he ran out of time to do it on his own and wanted to make sure I liked what I got. Other than my wedding rings, this is the first piece of real jewelry Ryan, or any other boy I dated back in the day for that matter, has ever given me as a gift. And it's awesome.
