4 Months Old

Anya turned 4 months old on the 6th, but she had her appointment with the doctor today. She did very well. She cried when they pricked her heel for blood and gave her shots, but as soon as they were done and I picked her up she was fine. And she giggled at the doctor who examined her. Sometimes she frustrates me, but overall she is a well behaved baby compared to some of the others I've seen in that office. Even some of the toddlers and children behave worse than Anya, and she has next to no self control compared to them. I just sit there in disbelief at what some parents let their children do in public. And then I look at Anya and tell her it's not allowed. Haha. Maybe the message will sink in by the time she's their age.

Anywho, she's in the 25th percentile for her weight still at 13 pounds. But she's average in height now in the 50th percentile at 24 1/2 inches long. So maybe she didn't inherit my shortness after all. Maybe she'll be a more average height. But she's still petite in overall size so we'll just have to wait and see if one catches up with the other or not. Whatever the case I'm not worried as long as she's healthy. And she got a perfect bill of health today aside from the small cold she's had for a week. The sniffles and runny nose have pretty much dissipated, but she's still got a bit of a rattly cough like she's a little congested. I've had the same thing so I'm not going to worry unless she starts running a fever which hasn't been the case so far. And at this point a fever could just be a slight reaction to one of the vaccines she received today. Though she's never had a reaction to anything so far. She's pretty awesome like that.
