Whatever Sinks Your Battleship
I expect you'll be getting a lot of blogs that are comprised completely of photos and videos for a while. Except when I have a paid blogging assignment. Heh. Totally not ashamed to admit that most of the time when I say anything lengthy it's just to fit a paid blogging link in somewhere. But at least that forces me to say something and update you on the goings on in my life. Otherwise you'd just have to guess from the pictures. And on that note, I'm sure you noticed that Ryan finally returned home on Sunday. <3 It was a glorious day of hugs and baby holding that we're still riding out the high from. (There will be pictures when the friend who took them for me gets them to me this weekend. Lots of pictures.) He does, sadly, have to work half of the day all of this week and part of next so I still have the mornings to myself and Anya, but when his leave starts we'll have almost a solid month of time just to bask in being together again and spoil Anya with our attention.
The past few afternoons we've been running a lot of errands. Getting the last few things we needed for the apartment that I couldn't get on my own like a computer desk for Ryan and an enormous amount of groceries. At least we don't have to worry about looking at coffee makers in this family. We stick to soda for our caffeine addiction. Well, Ryan does drink Monster energy drinks. I can't. They taste like rocket fuel or nuclear waste. Something like that. But whatever floats his boat. Or as I say to him, whatever sinks his battleship. He doesn't like it when I say that. He says it has bad connotations and having your boat float is a much happier end result of a preference like Monster energy drinks. Welcome to a day in our lives. Isn't it wonderful?
