Waiting Impatiently

So I fixed the curtain. I bought a cheap package of those heavy duty curtain hooks and stuck them into the metal at the top of the blinds before bending them around the tension rod. So far they've kept the rod at the top of the window all day. Hoping it lasts as this is about the 5,679,278,207.347th thing I've tried to get the darn thing to stay while still holding the curtains...since that's the whole point of a curtain rod.

Apartment-wise I've done everything I can do without help. Once Ryan is home we can hang all of the decor and photographs that require more than push pins. Not that I can't use a hammer and nails, but with a baby in the apartment it's likely a good idea to have someone occupy her so she doesn't die of fright from the loud banging sound in the middle of her nap. Or so I think. So that's the plan. That and we have to go through the handful of totes we have that are full of random childhood junk so that we can consolidate and get the last couple of boxes that are full of the same out of our bedroom at last. Which will probably end in a run to Good Will or something, and then we will at last be completely moved in and settled! And I will finally post pictures at that point. Though there will probably be Christmas decorations involved as we'll be putting up our tree together pretty soon after he gets home.

Speaking of Ryan I've been talking to him off and on the past couple of days, and the excitement about his impending homecoming is driving me insane. I don't even know how to sleep at this point! We're that close. But you won't really know anymore than that until I post an entry announcing his arrival and posting photographs of our mushy reunion that I know you're just dying to see. I hope you enjoyed the break from the mushiness during this deployment because it's about to come back in full force and then some.
