Parenting Woes

We attempted a trip to the movies to see New Moon, but we took one look at the line for tickets that had made it all the way to the parking lot and decided that was not a good idea with Anya. Instead we picked up a couple of rentals and headed home. We plan on getting Netflix while we're here, but we're waiting until after all of the Holiday traveling is over. Turns out staying home was a good decision because Anya just threw a hissy fit for a good ten minutes. And while that's not a lot in comparison to her all night tantrums, it would have been a lot worse if it had happened in the middle of the movie.

I'm not sure what her deal is with the constant fussiness. Every time I feel like she's finally out of the woods, it feels like we start regressing. Maybe it's just gassiness? Maybe her reflux medication dosage needs to be upped to match her weight gain? I don't know, but it's frustrating to never really get to give her the interaction or tummy time she needs for fear of tantrums because it never fails to happen every single time I attempt some activity time with her. I'm really bummed about the whole thing. I just want her to be a normal, happy baby with the chance to develop at a normal pace by being in a decent enough mood when she's awake to learn and discover things about herself and the world around her.

...

Anyone looking into an emergency alert system?

You did what now? I'm sorry the lines were bad for tickets. I wanted to take Aiden to see Christmas Carol, the one with Jim Carrey. But you are def. braver than I ever was. Ha, ha. Though he is Toy Story crazy, so I guess next year will be the perfect time to take him when Toy Story 3 comes out. Hope you have a safe trip back to TN for holidays....
