The Curtain Rod Dilemma

My child is going to be Jabba the Baby if she keeps it up. She's eating 4 ounce bottles now, and sometimes she'll go 4 or 5 hours between feedings. But a lot of the time she wants food every two hours like clockwork during the day. I suppose she's finally getting on track with other babies her age as her stomach has expanded, but I'm so used to my dainty baby who only eats 2 to 2 1/2 ounces at a time. But wanting bottles during the day is so worth it when she sleeps in several 4 to 6 hour stretches almost every night.

So I bought a tension curtain rod for her room because I figured curtains would help keep it darker and warmer/cooler in her room allowing her better - and longer stretches of - sleep. And we aren't allowed to put anything on the walls that requires any kind of heavy bracket system. Well, turns out the tension rod can't take the heat when it comes to those awesome curtains whose sole purpose is to block out 90 something percent of noise and light because they are heavier than usual. Not only does the rod bow a little in the middle, it slides down slowly until it eventually ends up in the floor. Yeah. It stayed up with only one panel, but as soon as I put the second one on it all went to poo. Heh. So I've tried about a million different ways of ghetto rigging it to stay up, but I don't want something that interferes with the ability to open and close the blinds so that limits my options. Does anyone have any ideas?

Off to feed Jabba the Baby and watch a little TV in the process.
