Daddy's Girl

Daddy's Girl

She fell asleep on my stomach and clutched onto the pair of Ryan's dog tags I wear for comfort. I almost cried a little. This was pretty much the only peaceful block of time we have had today. She is apparently struggling with some gas issues while adjusting to digesting formula so much of the day is filled with screaming and trying a million different things to keep her from screaming. Something tells me I'm going to be very tired tomorrow if things continue as they have been tonight. I gave her some infant gas relief drops, and she seems to be passing it with more frequency. But she is screaming her head off every time she feels the stomach pain and mistakes it for hunger. I don't feed her because I know that's the case which only makes her more upset. So she's fighting mad at this point. My dad is rocking her in the living room and letting me get some sleep. I'll miss having my family around to help when I'm at the end of my rope. I'm exhausted from the past two nights of dealing with gas induced fussiness so I'm going to take advantage of my ability to head to bed now.
