All Anya, All the Time
My new baby sling is allowing me to type this. I swore I would never wear my child on my person, but I got really tired of doing things with one hand when Anya began this fussy stage brought on by gas issues. I think she's working through it now, but it's not quite over yet. She sleeping peacefully in the sling at the moment. She's been better about taking her pacifier in the past couple of days, too. She's slowly getting used to the idea of using it for comfort instead of needing to be fed every time she's a little grouchy and wasting half of the bottle she doesn't finish. Her swing is getting more and more use, and we broke out the tummy mat for the first time yesterday. She spends most of her day asleep in the Pack 'N' Play, though. She sleeps decently at night in her crib though usually once she's up for her 4AM feeding she fusses about being put back down and wants to be awake and held for a few hours which makes for a very sleepy Erika as the day progresses. But we're working on it.
This blog has become an explosion of Anya. But that's pretty much how life feels now. Everything is an explosion of Anya, and I love every minute of it. I don't really have anything else going on. I still surf my usual internet abodes when Anya is sleeping or otherwise occupied just as I did before she was born. I do a little more laundry. I take a lot more pictures. I change a few diapers and make a few bottles. And that's the extent of my day. Nothing too crazy or exciting. Anya is the most involved and entertaining part of my day so she dominates my internet existence right now, too. Get used to seeing lots of her. : )
