Can you hear me talking to you across the water, across the deep blue ocean under the open sky?

I heard from Ryan for a few minutes last night. He's so excited that we're definitely having a baby girl. And he misses me a lot. It was a short conversation, but it was good to know he's alright. He's been gone for almost two months now. Time is passing, some days slower than others, but we're getting there.

I bought Baby's stroller yesterday. It's actually a travel system with the car seat and all that jazz. A bit early still, I know, but I'm trying to get some of the big purchases done so I can start putting the little things away as I get them or have a chance to get a few things at the store here and there. And it will be one less thing I have to stress about. This afternoon my family and I are going to pick up the crib and dresser/changing table I picked out yesterday. I saved money by getting a dresser that has a long flat surface for a changing pad that can just be tossed when Baby is older instead of buying two separate pieces of furniture and eventually having a useless changing table. Then it's just a dresser with an extra cabinet on the end. Pretty awesome. And the crib is a 4-in-1 so I'm going to make sure I have all of the pieces to change it over now in case they discontinue the crib or something. I'll be sure to take pictures once I start getting more things together and can get my room halfway decent since Baby and I are going to be sharing it here at my parents' until after the Holidays. At the moment, homework calls...
