*cough*

So I picked up the cold of doom from Ryan's brother over the weekend. So far I've been lucky in the breathing department. Very light congestion that really doesn't affect my breathing enough to be annoying. But my throat feels like it was attacked by angry ninjas. Or maybe I was drop kicked in the neck? All I know is it hurts. And coughing is not fun. I'm coughing less than yesterday, though, so that's good, I suppose. This thing lasts about a week according to members of both of our families that have had the misfortune of dealing with it. I'm on day three of actual symptoms so the good news is it should all be down hill from here. I hope. In the meantime I will continue to ingest cough drops at a rate that cannot be healthy.

Ryan is in North Carolina already. He left at a decent hour this morning and is now waiting to pick up one of his classmates at the airport. They're going to hang out tonight and check in together in the morning as they are both going to the same unit. It'll be good to know someone. There are also several Marines we knew in high school stationed in Lejeune so at least we'll have something to go on in terms of friendships. Meanwhile, I'm counting the days until I'm back to being permanently attached to Ryan 24/7...or at least when he's not working. We're disgustingly mushy, I know. And I love every minute of it. I'm missing him already.

Wholesale TVs, anyone?
