A Weekend of Movies
Australia was fairly good as far as movies go. We also ended up seeing Gran Torino and Revolutionary Road this weekend. Both of which were awesome movies. It was a good weekend for movies. Or rather we just chose the right ones for this weekend. And seeing one of them allowed us to take a trip to Yucca Valley this weekend so we were able to go to a Wal-Mart which has sadly become a treat. Haha. I can't wait to live in a place that has a Wal-Mart again!
We bought The Princess Bride because Ryan had never seen it. A discovery I told him was on the verge of being blasphemous. I grew up watching it, and he's probably missed about 1,527,386.94 jokes between my family and I made up of quotes from the film. So now he'll understand any future references and even be able to join in the fun. I've righted a wrong.
I'm on a roll today with reserving my flight home next month and setting up shut-off appointments with all of my utilities and the cable company. w00t! for me! Now I just have to start packing things up to ship home that won't fit in my suitcases. Meh. In other, better news: Ryan is being promoted to Lance Corporal today! More rank and more money! Can't complain about that too much. We're both excited. No more Private First Class for my husband! One step closer to NCO!
