Travel Plans
Ryan was finally given a class on his orders to Lejeune today. We found out he can use his leave, of which he already has another 10 days built up, to fly to Greeneville with me from here, drive to North Carolina together, find a place, rent a U-HAUL with which to drive back to Tennessee, get our stuff, return to our new place to unload our things, and return the U-HAUL before checking in at Camp Lejeune. Yay for stressful, fast paced moving! Heh. But at least now there won't be any waiting to be together.
Unfortunately, the USMC only pays for our travel from Tennessee to North Carolina if Ryan chooses to go home first instead of flying to Lejeune straight from here. It sucks because plane tickets are twice what I paid, but as of right now there are still seats on my plane so we're hoping to book his tickets tomorrow morning after a credit card payment goes through so we can afford to put the tickets on said card. All so we can fly home together on the 5th. w00t! So worth it.
I'm getting excited now that I know I won't have to be without him for any length of time after leaving here. We can be together on a daily basis at last! At least until that first deployment rolls around. But we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. Right now the bridge of flying home across the country and moving to another state in 10 days must be crossed.

Good luck to both of you! I definitely don't envy the stressful moving situation. Hope it works out a well as possible.
