I finally know where we're going! : D
Ryan was told what his first duty station is going to be today. We're going to be stationed at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, North Carolina. I've been there once already for his MCT graduation with Kesha, and my family has traveled to the Carolina's so I'm feeling good about it. I'm glad we're going to be close to home for this first assignment in case I can't take being all alone during his first deployment. And I have no idea when that will be, but I don't count on having a whole lot of time with him; that way I'm always surprised and never disappointed.
I'm just glad to finally know something so I can start looking at housing and stuff online. Now I have to start working out the logistics of sending my stuff back home, closing out all of my utility accounts here, getting myself back home, and then setting up and getting to North Carolina. But I'm going to try and just not think about it too much until after Christmas when I'll probably spend all of January running around like a crazy person trying to get it all done. I'm not really sure how moving with the USMC works yet, so I don't know what I can or can't do in regards to finding our next apartment in North Carolina. So I'm kind of waiting until after Christmas for Ryan to get his orders on paper and learn a little bit more about the situation before I do something wrong. ^_^;; We'll get it all sorted out eventually.
