BoA's U.S. Debut!

I've been a fan of Korean pop star Boa Kwon, known as BoA, for several years. I own several of both her Korean and Japanese pop albums so I was pretty excited to hear about her U.S. release today. The debut single "Eat You Up" was officially released today online as well as two music videos, one Asian version and one U.S. version. The single will be in stores early next month. I'll probably hold off on buying a hard copy until the full length album is released. I'm so excited to see my favorite Asian artists coming into this market. Utada Hikaru's first attempt was only partially successful in dance clubs, but I've read that she's working on a second U.S. album so that is really awesome for me. Access to my favorite artists right here on U.S. soil! Yay!

Though BoA's new single has a very Britney Spears' edge to it, I like it, lyrics and all. They're simple but catchy, and the dancing in the Korean video is like whoa. I'm a bit disappointed with what teasers I could find of the U.S. version of the video. But I'll hold off on judging which is better until I've seen the full version of the latter. But I did find the Korean/Asian verson on YouTube for your enjoyment. I'll post the U.S. version when it goes online. Judge for yourselves.
