Holiday Stuffs

Gosh, sure took me long enough to blog after Christmas. ^_^;; And now New Year's has passed, as well... Heh. That's what happens when you do a lot of travelling and working for a week and a half straight.

I got so much for Christmas that this might take a while to list them all: My parents gave me a couple of books, fuzzy socks, some chapstick, an Asian cookbook, a scale, and a subscription to the Rush Limbaugh website and newsletter for Ryan. My grandparents gave me a pink Hello Kitty apron and pot holders, some lipgloss, a vacuum cleaner, pens for Ryan, and a Marine Corps. t-shirt, baseball cap, and rubberband bracelet for Ryan. My Aunt Mary Jo gave me a cute frog computer screen cleaner and a pretty grey sweater. My great grandmother gave us a smancy new toaster oven! : D Yay for household things! Kekeke.

Ryan's parents gave me two Japanese fans and an antique geisha doll, green and yellow dish towels and pot holder, a couple of handbags, some lotions, coasters, a Christmas tree ornament, and a Wet Seal gift card. (Which I used yesterday to buy a shirt, a sweater, and jeans.) They gave Ryan the DVD "Click", a JCPenney's gift card (Which he used yesterday to buy some new shoes and a shirt.), and went in on a new laptop computer for him with both sets of his grandparents. They gave us both little planners, and Ryan's eldest little brother gave him a Marine Corps. money clip. Ryan's Uncle Kevin and Aunt Stacy wrote him a check which he will soon use to purchase a video game of some sort, and his paternal grandparents bought him a laptop carrying bag and lots of stocking stuffer odds and ends.

I also went to Payless yesterday and bought myself some new dress/casual flats and knee-high boots to wear to work with my skirts. : D Yayness!

Belated Happy New Year to everyone! My resolution this year is to simply be more optimistic (We can conquer this together, Meg!) and caring toward myself and others, especially Ryan, so that I can take better care of the both of us, our finances, our upcoming wedding plans, and our living space. That and to stop trying to fill every ounce of my free time with work or school so that I can actually get things related to the above done without wearing myself out every couple of days. Ugh. Gotta' learn to chill every once in a while. Well, speaking of, I'm headed off to work for the second time today.
