Moving Drama

So our current landlord pretty much told us we can't move. We told him that we fear for our safety, especially at night, living in this area of town. That I would have to do so by myself when Ryan leaves for Basic Training next summer. That the partying and drunken shouting that goes on into the wee hours of the morning is affecting our sleep and therefore affecting our school and work. But he doesn't care. Not one bit. He actually got into a shouting match with my father about it. So we're stuck here until next summer of maybe even fall. Great. There's nothing we can do now except complain about everything. We kept kind of quiet before because we thought he was a nice guy. But no. He definitely isn't. So now we'll just report everything. We called the cops on some rowdy, drunk kids last night. They finally quieted down, and we went to sleep so I have no idea what came of that. But if it keeps happening we'll will have a police record of reportings as paper trail proof that the partying happens here...all the time. Know what our landlord's suggestion was? Buy a fan to drown out the noise. Um...he promised my parents when I moved in that he didn't allow such "parties" to happen in his building. Now he tells me just to drown out the noise? Haha. Moron. I think not. He might have forced us to stay in his dump of a building, but that doesn't mean we have to be happy about it. He can have fun with two very disgruntled tenants who are now going to complain about everything that they kept quiet about before for his convenience. Since he obviously doesn't give a damn about ours.
