Being Sick at Work Sucks

So I've been getting sick a lot lately. Actually had to call in to work once last week, which is a big deal for me. And then today I was fifteen minutes late because my delirium had me convinced that my alarm clock was going off for no reason what-so-ever. -_-;; Also very unlike me. So I've been getting weak and shaky at work. Got overheated on top of all that today, and the manager made me take a fifteen minute sit down to cool off and get some water in my system. Ugh.

I talked to Ryan and my mother about it, and we decided to make an appointment with my doctor back in Greeneville to get some blood work done to see if it's diabetes or a thyroid issue, both of which run in my family and cause fatigue and dehydration. Woo. Fun. So I get to do that on Tuesday instead of spending an entire day off with Ryan doing nothing. T-T But, as Ryan said, better that than me drop dead next week because we didn't get it checked out.

In other news Ryan and I are talking about his military career, and he's thinking about doing the reserves while we're in college so that afterward we can settle down together in Japan. There is a Marines base here in Knoxville, but that would mean a lot of time apart and a definite stint in Iraq with possible death. O_O;; Freaked me out. But my mother helped me research the Air Force Reserves, which is what Ryan preferred in the first place, and there is a base three hours from here in Georgia. He would be away from me a lot less and a lot less likely to go to Iraq - even if he did the term would be two to three months shorter than with the Marines.

But it would also mean six hours of travel time and two full tanks of gas once a month. Personally I'm willing to sacrifice that for a little more safety for Ryan and my piece of mind, not to mention being able to stay together more. But Ryan was starting to get the Marines thing built up in his head so we had a bit of a spat about it when he called me on his break earlier. Guess we'll get to continue that discussion when he gets home at midnight. After which I have to work at 8AM. Yay. [/sarcasm]

1. Definitely get that checked out!

2. I don't know how you can deal with Ryan's military career; I admire you for that since that would drive me mad with worry if someone I was very close with was planning on doing any type of military work. Hope things work out and you guys aren't separated from each other too much!
